>A diffusion chamber filled with He/sup 3/ is used to observe the m/sub nu / of the neutral particle emitted in the capture of muons by nucleons (m/sub nu / < 6 Mev) was determined by measuring the recoil energy of H/sup 3/. Preliminary data indicate that the probability of this reaction is (1.30 plus or minus 0.40) x 1O/sup 3/ sec/sup -1/, which is consistent with the value predicted by the uni-versal theory of wesk interactions.
