FURTHER STUDIES ON THE MECHANISM OF INHIBITION OF DNA-SYNTHESIS BY IONIZING RADIATION
Journal Article

DNA-synthesis in vitro was studied in cells after exposure to x- or fast- neutron irradiation. The measure was the incorporatton into DNA of C/sup 14/ thymddine by Ehrlich ascites cells and of C/sup 14/-thymidine or C/sup 14/- formate by human bone-marrow cells. The radiation response is biphasic, dependent on oxygen, and is similar for both systems. (auth)
