BLAST WAVE SOLUTIONS IN HYDRODYNAMICS. A Review

A review and concise description are presented of existing approaches and computer codes for one- and twodimensional hydrodynamic blast wave calculations. The assumptions and limitations are particularly discussed with regard to the possible application for determining the hydrodynamic effects resulting from a nuclear exploston in the atmosphere. Along with some suggested modifications, specific analytic-numerical methods from among those considered are recommended as most feasible. (auth)
