CHARACTERISTICS OF ARGON PLASMA BEAM GENERATORS FOR SUBSONIC VELOCITY (in German)

The plasma beam output as a study of research parameters was determined for three different types of plasma beam generators operating with argon, and its regularity was established. The plasma beam temperature was determined spectroscopically from the continuous radiation of the plasma beam near the beam outlet. Together with the measurement values for the enthalpy increase of the gas by tts heating in the electric arc and with the measurement values for the plasma beam diameter, the current velocity v of the plasma beam could be determined. In conclusion, a formula was given with which the heating of small particles, which were transponted with the plasma beam over a given length, could be calculated. An example calculation was shown.
