MACHINE FOR CHARGING AND DISCHARGING THE CHANNELS OF A GAS COOLED NUCLEAR REACTOR
For charging and discharging a nuclear reactor during operation while it is ccoled by a pressurized gas, a refueling machine is provided comprising a pressure container adapted to be coupled, in a gas-tight manner, with each of the charging holes of the reactor. This container encloses means for stocking discharged fuel elements or fuel elements to be loaded into the reactor, a rotative magazine for receiving elements, a hoisting device, and a device for gas- tight closure of the container. The container is supported inside its shielding by clamps arranged such that the container may easily be exchanged without removing the shielding. The gas-tight coupling of the machine with a charging hole is performed by telescopic coupling means forming an extension of the pressure container. (NPO)
