Uraniunm and fluorine yield several known compounds, such as UF/sub 4/, U/sub 4/F/sub 17/, U/sub 2/F/sub 9/, UF/sub 5/, and UF/sub 6/, some of which can be considered as the result of association of uranium tons at different oxidation states. If this hypothesis is true, then it should be possible to obtain addition compounds between uranium hexafluoride and the fluorides of tri- and tetravalent metals. Examples of such compounds with fluorides of Bi, Fe, Al, Sn, Pb, Th, and Ti are given. (auth)
