USING A VIBRATING CAPACITOR AS AN ELECTROMETER INPUT

Instead of using a conventional chopper to convert a d-c input signal, a vibrating capacitor is used as the conversion element of an electrometer. The circuit diagram, vibrating capacitor mounting, and performance of the electrometer using the capacitor are described along with the method for optimizing the parameters of the vibrating capacitor and the associated circuit components.
