COULOMB EXCITATION OF As$sup 7$$sup 5$
Coulomb excitation of As/sup 75/ was studied using protons and alpha particles at 2.1 to 2.8 and 3.0to 3.8 Mev, respectively. Four levels of 199, 280, 574, and 810 kev were excited, and gamma transitions from these levels to the groand state were observed. The excitation functions and absolute cross sections of excitation were measured. The reduced transition probabilities were 0.012 plus or minus 0.0025, 0.023 plus or minus 0.005, 0078 plus or minus 0.015, and 0.044 plus or minus 0.013 (e/sup 2/ x 10/sup -48/ cm/sup 4/) respectively. The angular distribution of 280-kev gamma was 1 - 0.182P/sub 2/ (cos theta ) + 0.0O35P/sub 4/(cos theta ). The anisotropies of and 0.00 plus or minus 0.05, respectively. From these results, the spins and parities of four levels are found to be 1/2/-, 5/2-, 5/2-, and 3/2-or1/2-. E2 - Ml mixing parameters of 280 and 574-kev transitions are delta - 0.42 plus or minus 0.05 and 2.4 plus or minus 1.0 or 0. 75 plus or minus 0.15. No coincidence of gamma rays was found. (auth)
