Radioautographs of the continuous electrophoretic separations of the rare earth mixtures Nd/sup 147/-ER/sup 169/ Lu/sup 177/ Ce/sup 144/-Gd/sup 153/- Lu/sup 177/, and Ce/sup 144/-Pm/sup 147/ Tb/sup 160/ Er/sup 169/ Lu/sup 177/ in 0.05 M lactic acid are given. Below each radioautograph the activities of the separated rare earths, which correspond to a 0.5 hour run, are diagrannmed. Radioautographs of the two-dimensional electrochromatographic separations of the two and three-component mixtures are also given. The separation of the five- component mixture required an enlargement of the basic apparatus in the horizontal direction and appropriate mcdifications of the apparatus. (auth)
