Results of measurements of total beta activity in air filters and rain samples at Christchurch and Sr/sup 90/ in rain and milk are given. No increase in atmospheric radioactivity was found. Three rain samples had activities between 30 and 60 mu mu C per liter, the remaining samples had activities less than 30 mu mu C per liter. (P.C.H.)
