COINCIDENCE BETWEEN CONVERSION ELECTRONS ORIGINATING FROM THE Dy$sup 153$ $Yields$ Tb$sup 153$ DECAY (in Russian)

The coincidence between the conversion electrons of the dysprosium fraction which was chromatographically separated from a rare-earth mixture on Ta irradiated with 660-Mev protons was studied by means of a double-lens spectrophotometer. The measurements were started usually within 18 hours after completing the irradiation and were continued for about 15 hours. The following isotopes were present in the Dy preparation precipitated on a colloidal, slightly aluminized film: Dy/sup 153/, Dy/sup 155/, Dy/sup 157/, Dy/sup 159/ and their daughters Tb/sup 153/ and Tb/sup 155/ the shorterlived isotopes decayed out, The coincidence of the conversion electrons of Dy/sup 153/from the 80.4 + 82.48, 99.7, and ergy range of 170 to 230 kev and with K173.6 electrons was studied. On the basis of the results and previously published data it is concluded that in the Tb/sup 153/scheme there are levels with energies of 80.8, 163.3, and 254.3 kev originating from the decay of Dy/sup 153/.
