The analytical method involves fusing the sample with potassium hydrogen fluoride which is then sulfated. The melt is dissolved in dilute HCl. Beryllium is determined in the solution gravimetrically as pyrophosphate, titanium absorptionmetrically with H/sub 2/O/sub 2/ and manganese volumetrically after oxidation to permanganate. (J.R.D.)
