OSTI ID:4791015
The gamma-induced decolorization of solutions of Orange lV, an azo dye, is discussed. The results in aerated and deaecated solutions, of the addition of formaldehyde and the products formed are presented. A preprint of a paper on the radiation chemistry of methyl amineethane mixtures is included. The gamma ray induced oxidation of aqueous hydrochloric acid solutions of stannous ion is discussed. A study of the oxidation of ferrous chloride solutions is presented, to correlate with the mechanism of the stannous oxidation. (auth)
