THERMOLUMINESCENCE OF CaF$sub 2$ CRYSTALS (in German)

Journal Article · · Physica Status Solidi (East Germany) Divided into Phys. Status Solidi A and Phys. Status Solidi B

The thermoluminescence of three types of CaF/ crystals was measured: type I: natural crystals (found near Ilmenau); and type II: synthetic undoped crystals; (a) prepared from natural material; and (b) prepared from synthetic material of highest purity; type III: synthetic doped crystals prepared from synthetic material of highest purity. For each crystal the spectral composition of the luminescence and glow curves of some luminescence bands were measured. The added impurities give rise to characteristic spectra and glow maxima. Energies of trapping levels were calculated for several glow maxima by means of well-known procedures. (auth)
