The energy and angular distributions of protons produced in the reaction Ca/sup 40/( gamma ,p)K/sup 39/doe E/ gamma max/= 22 Mev are obtained. A fine structure is detected in the energy distribution. The experimental results are discussed on basis of Wilkinson's theory and the resonance theory of complex nuclei. (auth)
