RESEARCH ON ELEMENTARY PARTICLES WITH THE HELP OF NUCLEAR EMULSION (in Dutch)

Journal Article · · Ned. Tijdschr. Natuurk.
OSTI ID:4789653

The techniques used in the study of elementary particles with nuclear emulsions are described as an introduction to a discussion of some results obtained. The exposure of emulsions to 5.5 Bev/c pi /sup -/ mesons resulted in the detection of hyperons and decay properties of various mesons. The measurements used for the identification of a pi /sup +/ particle were described. The differential cross section for K+ scattering in nuclear emulsions was determined using both the repulsive nuclear potential and the attractlve nuclear potential. (J.S.R.)
