ELASTIC SCATTERING OF 2.8 Bev PROTONS ON PROTONS (in Russian)

Elastic scattering of 2.8-Bev protons on protons was investigated with the aid of photographic emulsions. Altogether 492 elastic scattering events were found. The differential cross section for elastic proton-proton scattering through angles from 2.5 to 20.5 deg in the cms is derived. The experimental data are not in agreement with the assumption of a small spin interaction and real part of the phase shifts. The mean square proton-proton interaction range is found to be 1.06 plus or minus 0.10 f. (auth)
