SOME ENERGY LEVELS OF F$sup 21$ AND Na$sup 2$$sup 5$

Journal Article · · Nuclear Phys.
The F/sup 19/(t,p)F/sup 21/ reaction was studied by magnetic analysis, and the excitatio~ energies of 19 states were determined, The Q-value of the reaction was 6.219 plus or minus 0.012 Mev, which is consistent with the F mass excess of --0.045 plus or minus 0.012 Mev. Excitation energies of 26 states of Na/sup 25/ were also measured using the Na/sup 23/(t,p)Na/sup 25/ and the Mg/sup 26/(t, alpha )Na/su p 25/ reactions. The Q-value of the former reaction was 7.492 plus or minus 0.012, and that of the latter was 5.664 plus or minus 0.012 Mev. Both Q-values are consistent with a Na/sup 25/ mass excess of --9.357 plus or minus 0.008 Mev. (Mass excesses are referred to the C/sup 12/ scale). (auth)
