NUCLEAR ENERGY LEVELS IN O$sup 16$, O$sup 18$, AND F$sup 1$$sup 9$

Thin targets of F/sup 19/ and O/sup 18/ have been bombarded with protons of approximately 5 Mev from the Rice Institute Van de Graaff accelerator. Excited states were observed at 1.344 plus or minus 0.005, 1.458 plus or minus 0.005, and 1.554 plus or minus 0.005 Mev in F/sup 19/, and at 1.98l plus or minus 0.004 Mev in O/sup 18/. Q values for the F/sup 19/(p, alpha )O/sup 16/ reaction were determined to be 2.061 plus or minus 0.015, 1.981 plus or minus 0.008, 1.193 plus or minus
