A thermonuclear reactor, in which a high-current discharge is produced around a torus and confined therein by the self-induced magnetic field, is designed with means for obtaining electric power directly from the equipment. The means comprises collectors for collecting particles from along the torus and ion injectors arranged so that a potential difference is established between the collectors and injectors for extraction of power.
