A guiding device for charging and discharging vertical reactor channels is described. The guiding device comprises a main tube rotatably arranged in the access hole and which is cut out, so that over its lower portion this main tuhe shows a semi-circular cross-section. A movable guiding tube is linked to the main tube by a system of rods, so that a horizontal translation movement of this latter guiding tube may be performed in order to bring it into alignment with the reactor channel to be served. The system comprises two rods, each being articulated, with horizontal axis, at its upper extremity on the main tube and the nrovable guiding tube, while a pin at its lower extremity slides in slits provided in the guiding and main tubes. These rods are pivotally mounted one onto another to form a shear-like system. The upper extremity of the movable guiding tube is articulated to an intermediate tube which at its upper extremity is articulated to a vertical control tube axially positioned in the main tube and adapted to be moved in the direction of its axis by a screw and nut system in order to control the lateral displacement of the movable guiding tube.
