DETERMINATION OF NIOBIUM BY A DIFFERENTIAL SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC METHOD (in Russian)

The absorption spectra of niobium in hydrochloric acid solutions were studied in the presence of tartaric acid and small amounts of sulfate ions. The influence of accompanying elements on the determination of niobium in a hydrochloric medium by a differential spectrophotometric method is given. A differential method was developed for the determination of niobium in niobium- based alloys containing tantalum and small amounts of titanium and iron. The error of determination is plus or minus 0.2-0.3%. (auth)
