RADIATION-INDUCED POLYMERIZATION OF 3,3-BISCHLOROMETHYLOXACYCLOBUTANE

Optimum conditions for obtaining radioinduced polymerization of 3,3- bischloromethyloxacyclobutane were the irradiation of relatively large single crystalline state monomers in air by Co/sup 60/ gamma rays at 2.8 x 10/sup 3/ r/ hr at 11.2 deg C in the solid phase. The yield obtained reached a maximum point and had a mp of 171 ~ 176 deg C. (OID)
