DECAY OF YTTRIUM-85

Journal Article · · Nuclear Phys.

The half life and radiations of yttrium-85 are studied with scintillation beta and gamma spectrometers. The half life is measured to be 3.25 plus or minus 0.25 hr. Three positron groups are found with end energies 2.1 plus or minus 0.10, 1.54 plus or minus 0.10, and 1.16 plus or minus 0.10 Mev. Several gamma rays are found at energies On the basis of sum and coincidence studies, a level scheme for Sr/sup 85/ is proposed. (auth)
