STUDY OF THE CADMIUM ISOTOPES VI. BETA AND GAMMA RAY SPECTROSCOPY OF Ag$sup 11$$sup 2$

Journal Article · · Nuclear Physics (Netherlands) Divided into Nucl. Phys. A and Nucl. Phys. B

Beta and gamma rays emitted from Ag/sup 112/ are investigated using a magnetic beta-ray spectrometer and scintillation spectrometers. The half life is determined to be 3.14 plus or minus 0.05 hr. Maximum energies and relative intensities of beta rays are 3.94 plus or minus 0.04 Mev (54%), 3.35 plus or minus 0.08 Mev (22%), and 1.96 plus or minus 0.10 Mev (10%). Internal conversion electrons corresponding to 0.610-, 0.621-, 0.648-, and 0.689-Mev gamma rays and other uncertain conversion electrons are found. In single, summing peak, gamma-gamma coincidence, and beta-gamma coincidence spectra, twenty-six gamma rays are observed. A decay scheme is constructed. (auth)
