Control rod drive equipment for a reactor enclosed by a pressure vessel includes means for transmitting the rotation of a driving axle placed outside the pressure vessel to a second axle inside the vessel, the rotation of the second axle controlling the movement of the control rod. This transmission means comprises a cylindrical body coupled with outer driving axle and provided with windings to form an electromagnet. This cylindrical body encloses the side faces of a cylindrical protuberance in the pressure vessel wall, while in the protuberance a permanent magnet is mounted on the second axle and forms together with the electromagnet an electromagnetic coupling.
