A shielded refueling machine may be provided with additional shielding that is movable relative to the machine so as to block the free path of radiations, which may otherwise escape between the machine and the charge face of the reactor. Shielding is described for such a refueling machine that comprises a movable portion jornted to the remainder of the shielding, so as to form a door through which operators may enter the machine in order to carry out given tasks. Means are provided for locking all the operations of the machine when the door is open, and for the locking the door in the open position. The last locking means may be controlled only with the aid of a key that the operator is obliged to take with him when he enters the machine. (NPO)
