PHOTOMETRIC DETERMINATION OF NEPTUNIUM BY QUERCETIN (in Russian)

It was found that Np(IV) with quercetin (3,5,7,3', and 4' pentaoxyflavin) in ethanol-aqueous solution forms a yellowgreen complex with maximum absorption at 425 M mu . It was also found that additions of quercetin to acidic Np-ethanolaqueous solutions with an optical density of 425 m mu achieve a maximum at pH = 1.6. However, in adding Np solutions to quercetin- ethanol-aqueous solutions the optical density reacts very little to the acidity (at pH 3.0 to 7.0). The molar absorption coefficient for the examined Np compounds is 14,000 and 23,000, respectively. (R.V.J.)
