A simple scintillation counting technique for assaying C14O2 in a Warburg flask

A simple procedure is described for trapping the respiratory C14O2 on KOH-moistened paper in the Warburg center well in a manner which permits simultaneous measurement of oxygen uptake and subsequent liquid scintillation counting of the resulting moist paper strip. The procedure eliminates the cumbersome drying of papers and injection of alkali. The results of several analyses are presented. (P.C.H.)
