THE H$alpha$ LINE IN THE FLARE OF NOVEMBER 12, 1960

Journal Article · · Astrophysical Journal (U.S.)
DOI:https://doi.org/10.1086/147405· OSTI ID:4774500
Spectra of the H alpha line in the 3+ flare of November 12, 1960, have been analyzed. The width and central intensity of the line, the optical thickness of the flare, and its rate of radiation in H alpha are comparable to values measured in other 3+ flares. No spectroscopic evidence for deuterium has been found. (auth)
