METALLURGICAL EXAMINATION OF DILUTE URANIUM-MOLYBDENUM-IRON ALLOYS

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4772595
Ternary alloys of uranium containing molybdenum and iron were investigated; addition of iron causes the formation of the compound U/sub 6/Fe and increases the molybdenum concentration in the remaining metallic matrix. The structures obtained in the ternary alloys by different thermal treatments are shown and compared to the corresponding binary alloys. (auth)
