THERMAL DENATURATION OF ORDINARY AND FULLY DEUTERIATED DNA IN H$sub 2$O AND D$sub 2$O

Journal Article · · Journal of Molecular Biology (England)

Fully deuteriated DNA was isolated from Escherichia coli grown in a fully deuteriated nutrient medium (99 6% D/sub 2/O with fully deuteriated substrates). The melting temperature of this DNA was found to be essentially identical with that of ordinary DNA in both H/sub 2/O and D/sub 2/O solutions. (auth)
