USE OF BALLISTIC PENDULUMS WITH PULSED PLASMA ACCELERATORS

Journal Article · · ARS (Am. Rocket Soc.) J.
OSTI ID:4770188

Experiments were conducted with a pulsed coaxial plasma gun which showed that thrust measurements with a ballistic pendulum involves large errors. The deflection was found to depend on the magnetic pressure of the plasma and on the vaporizability of the pendulum material. (D. L.C.)
