USE OF BALLISTIC PENDULUMS WITH PULSED PLASMA ACCELERATORS

Experiments were conducted with a pulsed coaxial plasma gun which showed that thrust measurements with a ballistic pendulum involves large errors. The deflection was found to depend on the magnetic pressure of the plasma and on the vaporizability of the pendulum material. (D. L.C.)
