O$sup 16$(d,p) AND (d,/cap alpha/) REACTIONS IN THE ENERGY RANGE 0.8-2.0 Mev

The differential cross sections at 90 deg of the reactions O/sup 16/(d p/sub 0/), O/sup 16/(d p/sub 1/), and O/sup 16/(d, alpha /sub 0/) are me asured in the energy range 0.8 to 2.0 Mev. All three reactions give evidence of a level of F/sup 18/ at 8.50 Mev. The first two reactions give evidence of a level of F/ sup 18/ at 9.00 Mev. A resonance at E/sub d/ = 1.80 Mev of the third reaction cannot be attributed with certainty to any 9.14 Mev level. Some properties of the levels are discussed. (auth)
