FALLOUT IN NEW ZEALAND. Quarterly Report, July through September 1962

Weekly collection of rain samples from Funafuti, Western Samoa, and Rarotonga is being continued. Land and sea food samples are also being obtained at a reduced rate from the Tokelau Islands, Penrhyn, Western Samoa, and Rarotonga. The results of measurements on these samples are not yet available. In New Zealand, new rain collecting stations have been established at Kaitaia, New Plymouth, and Dunedin. Collection at these stations commenced on July 1, 1962. Monthly Sr/sup 89/ and Sr/sup 90/ depositions at these stations are given. The present network of New Zealand collecting stations for rain, soil, and milk samples is shown. (R.J.S.)
