>A series of methods by which the elementary separation factor for hydrogen isotope separation by distillation of an azeotropic nitric acid/water mixture could be determined was considered. In such mixtures there is no simple reiation between the separation factor and the vapor pressures of the pure isotopic liquids. The effect of measurement errors in the isotopic analysis on the accuracy of the elementary separation factor determined by Rayleigh evaporation and by column distiilation was approximately given.
