ALPHA BRANCHING IN THE DECAY OF Pb$sup 210$ AND Bi$sup 210$. A NEW MERCURY ISOTOPE Hg$sup 20$$sup 6$

Measurements are reported of the B/sub 210/ alpha-decay branching ratio ((1.32 plus or minus 0.10) x 10/sup -6/) and the Pb/sup 210/ alpha branching ratio and energy ((1.7 plus or minus 0.3) x 10/sup -8/ and 3.72 plus or minus 0.02 Mev). The beta energy and half life of Hg/sup 206/ are determined; the Hg/ sup 206/ can be produced either by alpha decay of Pb/sup 210/ or by the reaction Pb/sup 208/(p 3p)Hg/sup 206/. (T.F.R.)
