NATURE OF PRIMARY COMPONENT OF COSMIC RAYS AND FLUCTUATION CHARACTER OF EAS

Journal Article · · J. Phys. Soc. Japan
OSTI ID:4763990
Possible interpretations of the previoualy observed change of the exponent of the number spectra of cosmic showers at a primary energy of about 3 x 10/sup 15/ ev are discussed in relation to the composition of primary particles. The importance of studying fluctuations in air showers as an aid in determining the composition of primary particles at high energies is pointed out. (A.G.W.)
