Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4762748
Data were correlated on the system di-2-ethylhexyl phosphoric acid (D2EHPA) in Amsco 125-82 diluent for the separation by solvent extraction of the Group II elements strontium, barium, and calcium. The data on which the correlation is based are reviewed and summarized along with the preliminary calculations which were made. The preliminary attempts at correlating the data are presented and discussion as to their weaknesses is included. The present scheme of data reduction, based on divalent extractable species only, is covered and calculated equilibrium constants for the Group II metal ions in the presence of sodium are included for 0.1, 0.8, and 1.6M D2EHPA organic phases. The calculated data are also presented as a series of figures. (auth)
