STUDY ON THE INFLUENCE OF EXTERNAL FORCES ON THE REACTOR OF NUCLEAR SHIPS-- SYSTEMATIC VIBRATION EXPERIMENTS OF ACTUAL SHIPS (in Japanese)

To obtain data on the external forces acting upon marine nuclear reactor arising from ship vibration, a series of hull vibration tests were carried out on 14 newly built vessels. These vibration tests are divided into following two groups: vibration generator tests during anchoring and hull vibration measurements during speed trials. By these vibration experiments, the vibratory characteristics of test ship were made clear. On the natural frequencies of ship vibration, some kinds of charts estimating fundamental mode were obtained. On the mode curves obtained by vibration generator tests, it can be said that there were little differences among each test ship, so that these data can be applied for determining the suitable position of marine nuclear reactors.
