Italy's major achievements and programs in relation to the problem of contaminated liquid waste disposal are reviewed brieily. The aqueous waste disposal facilities at the Ispra Common Research Center, at the So.R.I.N. Nuclear Center of Saluggia, at C.N.E.N.'s Center for Nuclear Studies at Casaccia, at C.A.M.E.N.'s Nuclear Center of San Piero a Grado, at the C.I.S.E. Segrate Laboratory, at the Enrico Fermi Center for Nuclear Studies of the Milan Polytechnical School, and at the Garigliano, Latina, Trino Vercellese, and Organic Reactor Program power plants are discussed.
