ON THE DIFFERENCE IN TWO PEAKS OF QUADRUPOLE SPLITTING IN MOSSBAUER SPECTRA
Two Mossbauer spectral peaks of quadrupole splitting were studied both as a function of triphenylchlorostannane crystal orientation and at two different angles of the gamma ray beam. Of three explanations offered for the asymmetry of doublets in the Mossbauer spectra from polycrystalline samples, only the anisotropy of the Mossbauer effect in single crystals seems to be possible.
