ANALYTICAL METHOD FOR THE DETERMINATION OF SODIUM-24 IN BLOOD BY GAMMA SPECTROMETRY

Sodium-24, formed by neutron irradiation of sodium-23 present naturally in human blood, is estimated by a gamma -spectrometric method. The identity of the activity may be confirmed by observing its rate of decay and comparing this with the known half life of sodium-24, which is 15.0 hr. (auth)
