Scattering of 14 Mev Neutrons by Carbon-12. Angular Distributions; DIFFUSIONS DES NEUTRONS DE 14 Mev SUR LE CARBON 12. DISTRIBUTIONS ANGULAIRES

The anguiar distributions of neutrons from the reaction C/sup 12/ (n,n') C/sup 12/* (Q = 0,4.43, 7.65, and 9.63 Mev) have been measured from 10 to 120 deg , employing 14.5 Mev incident neutrons. The elastic and inelastic first-level angular distributions are in good agreement with recent measurements. The inelastic second level angular distribution has an important minimum arouad 45 deg . The inelastic third level angular distribution is nearly isotropic. Time of flight techniques are used, results are displayed, and equipment diagrams are included. (auth)
