BUBBLE DENSITY IN A HYDROGEN BUBBLE CHAMBER

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4751371
Gap-length measurements on tracks in a hydrogen bubble chamber have been used to determine the bubble density. The velocity dependence of the bubble density in the rarge BETA = 0.60 to 0.98 is shown to be represented b 1/ BETA / sup 1.91 plus or minus 0.05/. No relativistic rise in bubble density is found and this is in agreement with theoretical predictions. Mechanisms for bubble formation are discussed. (auth)
