The general expression of the effective resonance integral for a heterogeneous system is obtained when Doppler broadening is taken into account. The one level formula of Breit-Wigner with the parameters E/sub 0/, GAMMA /sub n/ , GAMMA /sub y/ was used in calculations and it was assumed that the mean logarithmic energy loss of a neutron xi E exceeds the width of the dangerous zone of the resonance absorption.
