CONTRIBUTION TO THE DETERMINATION OF THE NEUTRON RESONANCE PARAMETERS OF U$sup 23$$sup 5$ (in French)

Journal Article · · Journal de Physique et le Radium (France) Changed to J. Phys. (Orsay, Fr.)
OSTI ID:4821083
The U/sup 235/ fission cross section, measured by time of flight, is shape-analyzed by least-squares methods assuming that the resonances are of the Breit-Wigner onelevel type broadened by the Doppler effect. sigma /sub of/ and GAMMA values are given for several resonances. In addition, the neutron transmission of U/sup 235/ is measured between 8 and 22 ev with a resolution of 0.01 mu s/m. The complete set of parameters (spin excepted) is thus obtained for five resonances. A large dispersion of GAMMA /sup gamma / values is observed. (auth)
