A method for feeding multi-tube connections through a wall is described which has particular application to the seaIing of sampling tubes from fuel channels in a nuclear reactor. In this method, a sealing tube is provided for each through-tube, its diameter being greater than the overall diameter of the through-tube and its projections on either side of the hole being such as to permit adequate access for welding, e.g., by flexing the projections. Two applications of the method for a burst fuel element can-detecting system in a pressurized gas-cooled reactor are described. (D.L.C.)
