ON THE INTERRELATION BETWEEN THE TOTAL CONTENT AND THE COMPOSITION OF RARE EARTHS IN MINERALS (in Russian)

It is established that the total TR content in minerals with low coordination numbers (6 to 8) of the replaced elements increases from ceric to yttric variants; the TR content in minerals with high c.n. (9 to 12) of the replaced elements increases from yttric to ceric variants. The presence of minor quantities of impurities in minerals which some authors explain by endocryptia is in accordance with the general laws of isomorphism. At the same time, the influence of crystallochemical factors on the ability of elements for isomorphism decreases with the concentration decrease of isomorphous impurities. The effective sizes of ionic radii for the elements of different periods change irregularly with the alteration of coordination numbers. As a result of this isomorphous capacity of the minerals in relation to isomorphous impurities changes according to the alteration of the replaced elements c.n. (auth)
