A scintillation coincidence spectrometer was used in an investigatton of gamma spectra and gamma - gamma coincidences in Eu/sup 148/ decay at 1200 to 2500 kev. Excitation states of Sm/sup 148/ in Pm/sup 148/ BETA decay were determined. Excited states at 551, during Eu/sup 148/ decay. Further studiea of gamma emissions indicated gamma transitions at 420, 550, 630, 730, 910, 1020, 1230, sittons at 1910, 2090, 2200, and 2410 kev. The experimental data imply the presence of previously unknown Sm/sup 148/ excited states at 2200, 2410, 2510, and 2790 kev in Eu/sup 148/ decay. (R.V.J.)
